This session will provide an overview of the different types of anxiety children may have. Information will be shared on how teachers can identify the signs and symptoms of anxiety as well as classroom strategies and techniques that can be used to support students with childhood anxiety. Time will be given for teachers to explore ways to adapt strategies and techniques in their classroom.

This session is designed to strengthen teachers’ skills in building effective and consistent communication with families. We will focus on how and when to have honest and caring conversations with families. Teachers will also engage in scenarios to practice navigating conversations with empathy, professionalism, and clarity.
